2011 Holiday Gifts Roundup: Needle
Don’t forget to practice your Needle-work this holiday season!
Or, giveth the gift unto your little sister as Jon Snow gaveth unto Arya. Mikken takes cash or credit.
This sword is smaller than either Ice or Longclaw, befitting the Braavosi water dancer in all of us. Arya’s Needle is a limeted edition by Valyrian Steel, crafted from high carbon steel; the hilt is cast metal with nickel plating and wrapped in leather. Display plaque also includes mounting hardware. Total length of 30 inches.
In case you need convincing, here’s Maisie Williams showing you how to use the pointy end!

2011 Holiday Gifts Roundup: Map of Westeros Poster
Learn your Westeros geography with this artistically rendered map of the Seven Kingdoms!
Don’t lose sight of the important strongholds in the realm. From the lands north of the Wall to the southron peninsula, this map encompasses Westeros and a teasing taste of the Eastern continent, Essos. Hang this map proudly in your throneroom, war tent or solar. The color and quality is good enough to display in any tower at the Citadel!
Another HBO Shop exclusive, the Westeros poster is 11 x 17 inches and comes with a plastic sleeve and hanging hook.
2011 Holiday Gifts Roundup: Night’s Watch Oath Mug
It’s cold. You’re 700 feet up on a Wall of ice. It’s cold. You’re stuck here with a bunch of smelly dudes, rapers, theives and green boys. It’s cold. Your only entertainment is fighting Wildlings or becoming an Other. It’s cold. Not even Winter yet, the Summer snows are omnipresent. It’s cold. You’re here for life. What’s worse – this place doesn’t even have coffee.
What better way of reminding your brothers of the Vows you’ve all sworn than with the Night’s Watch Oath Mug, an HBO Shop exclusive Game of Thrones item. Holding 16 ounces, this ceramic mug has taken the black along with you crows. Settle in for a long night and serve up some of the Old Boar’s Hot Spiced Wine… your watch isn’t over yet.

No disrespect to John Lee, who narrated it back in 2005. Fans came to love the voices of Mr. Dotrice since A Game of Thrones. All 224 of them.
2011 Holiday Gifts Roundup: A Song of Ice and Fire RPG
We bring you yet another way to fight and scheme in the world of Westeros! The more the merrier, and we want this season to be pretty effing merry!
Green Ronin Publishing presents A Song Of Ice And Fire Roleplaying: Adventures In The Seven Kingdoms and A Song Of Ice and Fire Campaign Guide: A RPG Sourcebook, two core books that provide a complete roleplaying adventure. Other expansion books are also available to keep the gamer folk happy. This RPG is award-winning, so I highly suggest you pick this up if you are looking for a campaign to satisfy the GRRM fans among your tribe or guild or whatever gamers call themselves these days.
Want to try before you buy? All you tight-fisted Scrooges might be interested in the ASoIaF RPG Quick Start PDF, but you’ll have to visit Green Ronin’s website to get it.
2011 Holiday Gifts Roundup: Game of Thrones Coasters
Historians agree that the biggest grievances for the people of antiquity were unsightly stains on fine linens and regal wood tables from spilt ale, boar grease, and poisoned wine. Robert Baratheon himself would fancy these Game of Thrones coasters to keep the Great Hall’s high table fresh and tidy.
So as you feast and wench this festive season, mind your cups and use a coaster proclaiming your House sigil. This set of four features the Houses of Baratheon, Stark, Targaryen and Lannister emblems on tumbled stone coasters with cork baking so they won’t scratch or mar your furnishings, whether you are entrenched within your war tent or breaking fast in your solar.
An HBO Store exclusive!
2011 Holiday Gifts Roundup: A Game of Thrones Card Game
If a 5 foot sword isn’t your idea of a stocking stuffer, why don’t you delight your loved ones with A Game of Thrones: The Card Game? Based on the A Song of Ice and Fire book series by award-winning author George R. R. Martin, the card game from Fantasy Flight Games is a sure hit for GRRM fans and card gamers alike.
When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die. Luckily, if it’s just the card game you don’t have to sweat it. You can play with 2-4 players, in a heads up game with one opponent (a joust) or multiplayer with up to 3 other players (a melee). Similar to other collectible card games like Magic: The Gathering, these cards are more than just game pieces, they are works of art! There are many expansion packs available, allowing you to customize your playing deck to fell your foes. The starter game package includes a game board and four 52-card playing decks to get you reaving and plundering your enemies.
2011 Holiday Gifts Roundup: A Game of Thrones Board Game
Winter is Coming. And here is a game to replace all other boardgames these long winter nights… A Game of Thrones: The Board Game.
Choose your House. There’s no wimpy thimble in this game. Only iron, blood, and glory. Unlike Monopoly, you don’t charge rent – you take heads. You’ll need three to six players to prove your skills in battle, strategy and card-wielding. Take lands and control your strongholds. Be the first to unite the realm of Westeros. You even have little privacy screens like ye olde Dungeon Master. Surely a hit at your next holiday party!
Like reading the novels, you must be over 14 to play.
2011 Holiday Gifts Roundup: Daenerys Figurine with Dragons
Capture the holiday spirit with this naked Dani statue from Dark Sword Miniatures!
Emerging bald but unburnt by the warming flames of a funeral pyre, young khaleesi Daenerys Targaryen stands naked with her newborn dragons. If you look closely, it appears one of the baby dragons is suckling like an adorable little bundle of festive joy!
Sculpted by Tom Meier, each miniature Dani and dragons figure is cast in pewter and sold unpainted. Use your imagination: who is the suckling dragon, Rhaegal, Viserion or Drogon? The images of the painted versions on the website feature the work of artist Anne Foerster.
You can buy the Daenerys miniature from the GRRM section of the Dark Sword Miniatures website.
2011 Holiday Gifts Roundup: Game of Thrones Soundtrack
Are you tired of holiday music yet? For a nice change of pace, check out the musical soundtrack to HBO’s Game of Thrones!
Composed by Ramin Djawadi, the Game of Thrones OST contains 29 short tracks, totaling a little more than an hour for you to recall the first season with fondness. Or revulsion or whatever, depending on your favorite scenes. If you’re not a fan of instrumentals, this is probably not for you. Djawadi also scored the soundtracks for Iron Man and Clash of The Titans 2008 remake.
There are no tracks by John Mayer or Kanye West on this album.
